At Plant’s Choice, a large portion of our client base is from the residential sector. With over 20 years of catering to customers who visit our yard looking for a “truckload” or “trailer load” of material, you are sure to leave our yard pleased with your experience!

Our knowledgeable and friendly staff can help you choose the right material for the right application. Please ask us for assistance in determining how much material is needed for your job, or use our materials calculator.

We carry compost blends for the garden and lawn, natural wood mulches, colored mulches, stone, and Speare’s grass seed. Materials are available in bulk or in bags – pick up or delivery is available. Please visit our “Products Menu” to learn more about each one. 

Our products are sold by the cubic yard (which is a volume measurement as opposed to a weight measurement). We will also sell by the ½yd3, and smaller amounts if needed, we encourage people to bring their own containers (such as a blue box) to load their own.  We have no minimums on material! Our prices are very reasonable and will be based on the size of the container accordingly.  Our loader operators are very experienced and capable of loading various types of trucks and trailers.

Delivery

If delivery is required, bulk materials can be delivered by single, tandem or tri-axle dump trucks. Customers may also arrange for their own pick-up of material at the bulk yard. Our normal delivery area is anywhere within the Niagara Region, however, charges will depend on the size of the order and the distance of delivery. What Sets Us Apart

Accessibility for Trucks

We have excellent accessibility for trucks, our site has a hard stone surface which allows trucks to stay clean, and even the largest dump trailers have room to maneuver and a solid level surface to drive on. The pad can be easily snow plowed which allows for all-season access. We do our best to make sure you get the product when you need it!

Experienced Loader Operators

Our loader operators have many years of experience loading a variety of trucks and trailers – from pick-ups to triaxles, tractor-trailers, walking floors, and stone slingers. We have several loaders including a John Deere High Lift – so loading those big trucks is no problem! Our buckets range from 1/2yd3 to 3.5yd3. We work quickly and efficiently to get you loaded and on your way. Great care is taken when working around your vehicles and our operators have an excellent track record. Safety is always our utmost concern.

Availability

Most of our soil blends and mulches are available year-round. Several hundred cubic yards are usually maintained at any given time, however for orders in excess of 500yd3, please contact us in advance to ensure we have blended sufficient product available for when you need it. 

Tickets for Tracking

Plant’s Choice would like the opportunity to satisfy your company’s soil requirements. We would be happy to answer any questions you may have about our products, pick up, delivery, payment methods, or setting up an account.  For those customers who have been approved for credit, a commercial ticket is issued at the time of material pick up. The ticket has 4 copies – allowing us to issue one or more to the hauler if requested. Another copy is sent along with the final invoice to ensure a cross-correlation can be made.
